Wow how time flies when your having fun

I can't believe it's been 9 months since I started this thing up! Alot has happened since Nov 08. As everyone who knows us knows that meeting my long lost oldest son's family has been the hi lite of my life! Don Jr. wife Kati, my grandson Kaden and his little sis Tea is a joy to know. It has been a long time since we were there ( such is the life of travelers). They are in our thoughts daily!
After Christmas 08 we headed to Baja Mexico via a few stops along the way, getting there in the end of February 09. We landed in the sleepy little drinking village with a fishing problem known as San Felipe. It is a very nice little town with very friendly people and about 10,000 expats. We purchased a small solar lot 12,000 sq.ft. in a private gated community of El Dorado Ranch 6 miles north of town on the sea of Cortez. We started construction within a week and so far we have a septic system, 3500 gallon fresh water underground cistern, and 1700 sq ft. of cement. We can now park our motor home on it which we did until we left for the summer in May. We have a nice view of the ocean and Mt. Diablo. Our plans should eventually end up with a 2700 sq ft. house, completely off the grid with solar power. Since we left Baja we have been in So Ca. visiting Alicia's sons and grandkids (2) and just married off her youngest son James.
We just landed in No. Ca. to visit my family and have planned a small family BBQ in the small town of Hollister Ca. Unfortunately few family members will be able to attend. We were hoping to get Don Jr. and his family to meet some more long lost relatives he has never meet but I guess it will have to be some other time. We will have about 15 people there (family and friends) and should have a good time. From here to Truckee Ca. then to Reno Nv. then Phoenix Az. and finally back to Baja for the winter as we both hate the cold!

I will try to get some pics in as soon.
Talk to ya all soon Don and Alicia
